I have been a victim for long. Being sexually abused as a child (which fucked up my natural gift to connect with others, especially the male ones) and having a severe bi-polar disorder (being stuffed with chemical medication, so – apart from the depression and hypmanic episodes – I suffered millions of side effects that totally ruined my health among other things), making my life pretty miserable… It was so unjust. Why me? Etc. etc.

‘With everything that has happened to you, you can either feel sorry for yourself or treat what has happened as a gift. Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose.’ – Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

It took me a while (about 30 years) to recognize this GIFT IN DISGUISE. I have been able to heal myself (writing a book about it actually: ‘From MindFuck to MindSet‘ or ‘From Medication to Meditation‘, my personal story about the healing of an incurable bipolar disorder). I know the low and the high places inside out and this opened amazingly precious spaces for me that I now know how to enter in a positive and constructive way.

Nowadays my (happy and healthy!) life consists of supporting others to heal themselves too, because I know that If I Could Do It, You Certainly Can!! You ‘only’ have to be as dedicated to healing yourself as I am. I do this by giving tantra massage, meditation and de-armouring sessions (to women, men and couples) to reclaim your juicy bodies just like I did and let your life energy flow naturally wild (and loving every bit of it!); by inspiring you to experiment with the amazing healing capacity of food (as well as teaching about the destructiveness of all that is been sold as ‘food’) so you can start healing your body too; by hosting ‘Blindfolded Tantra Dinner Rituals’ and workshops about the awareness of our senses (“It is through the body you reach the divine.” – Osho) and by facilitating healing rituals and retreats for men and women, about the Divine Feminine & Divine Masculine. To free ourselves collectively from all the (unconscious) prejudices, expectations and other bullshit around Male/Female issues in our society; and other Sacred Fire Rituals and events to strengthen our connection to the rhythms of nature and our natural strength; and by guiding you in your healing processes as a transformation coach.

Why I do what I do 2After my second womb operation early this year, I was lucky to receive the 13th rite of the Munay Ki, the Rite of The Womb! Since then, this year is not only marked by healing my own womb, but the womb’s of many other women as well, by passing on this beautiful healing rite. “Our womb is not a place to store fear and pain, our womb is to create and give birth to life!”. I have been hosing many women’s groups and retreats since early on in my life, always inviting women to discover and integrate the different (and often conflicting aspects of their womanhood). And even though I still feel an enormous dedication to help women heal (since I had my portion of trauma myself ;-), what I feel right now is that the world needs the healing of Women And Men. Together. Check out our ‘Sacred Fire Rituals’ FB-page (events) for more information on when and how). And I am very happy that I am about to receive some more healing initiations this fall/winter, part of being it in Peru!!

So, if this resonates with you… check out the FB-pages Deva Yama and Casa Medicina for more info and the ongoing events. And of course you are welcome for shamanic tantra sessions in Utrecht.

Yama has been living in Africa for a couple of years where she was working as a researcher, participated in numerous rituals and taught physical theatre in Nairobi. After that she worked as a theatre director and physical theatre coach and later on started her massage therapy and transformation coaching business. Now, as a tantric teacher, she focuses on allowing men and women to grow closer to each other, being each other’s and their own teachers.*
